Smell of Digital

Space776 presented its first NFT art exhibition, Smell of Digital, featuring works by DigiAna Group . This online exhibition brings together eleven New York-based artists whose NFT artworks explore the shifting terrain of digital identity, sensory memory, and artistic expression in the post-analog age.

As NFTs emerge as both a medium and a marketplace, Smell of Digital invites viewers to consider not only the aesthetic possibilities of blockchain-based art, but also the deeper cultural questions it raises. What happens when the artwork itself becomes decentralized? What does "authenticity" mean in an infinitely reproducible format? And how do we reintroduce human experience—scent, memory, touch—into a format that is entirely virtual?

DigiAna Art, as practiced by the exhibiting artists, resists the binary of digital versus analog. Instead, it embraces the complexity of our hybrid condition. By working across code, video, sound, 3D environments, and traditional media, the artists offer a range of conceptual and emotional responses to life within increasingly mediated realities.

The exhibition will be accessible through the Space776 NFT Viewing Room, available on the Space776 website beginning from September 24th until October 22nd 2021. Viewers are invited to experience the show both as a collection of digital artifacts and as a broader statement on how art, memory, and meaning are translated through new technologies.
