DigiAna Group Performance at Babycastles

August 9, 2019 – Babycastles, Manhattan

On August 9 2019, the NY DigiAna Group presented a live performance event at Babycastles in Manhattan, showcasing five artists exploring the theme of digital versus analog realities. The evening featured original works by Toru Izumida, Mack Aroni, Testu Collective, Nicole Salamone, and Seungjin Lee.

The NY DigiAna Group is a New York-based collective of international artists working with multisensory digital and analog media. Their work focuses on augmented reality and the cultural intersections between embodied human experience and virtual environments. Through collaborative performances and exhibitions, the group creates spaces for critical engagement and dialogue.

This event was hosted at Babycastles, an artist-run space rooted in New York’s DIY culture. Babycastles is dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices in videogame culture and fostering dialogue between gaming and contemporary art. The performance further emphasized the shared values of experimentation, accessibility, and cross-media collaboration.

By combining immersive media with live performance, the DigiAna Group continues to push boundaries between technological and sensory experience, bringing audiences into closer contact with the rapidly evolving landscape of digital culture.
